මචන් මම මීට අවුරුදු දෙකකට කලින් Trainee developer කෙනෙක් විදියට අලුතෙන් පටන් ගනිපු පොඩි කම්පැනි එකකට සෙට් උනා.
Private degree එකක් කරන ගමන් 2nd year ඉවර වෙලා තමයි join උනේ, ඉතුරු අවුරුදු 2 degree එක part time කරන්න හිතාගෙන.

මුලින්ම හිටියේ මමයි තව trainee කොල්ලෙකුයි, networking වලට එකෙකුයි බොස්ල 2 යි. ඒ දවස්වල පට්ට කට්ට. රෑ 12 විතර වෙනකම් වැඩ. රු: 15,000 ලැබුනේ. බෝඩින් කාමරේම 8,000. කෑම ගමන් වියදම් වලට ගෙදරින් සල්ලි ඉල්ලා ගත්තේ. හැමෝම කිව්වේ ට්‍රේනින් ඕනෑම කට්ටක් කන්න කියලයි, ඒ නිසා ඉවසන් හිටියා..

මේ නිසා පාඩම් වැඩත් නතර උනා. මීගමුවේ ඉඳන් Colombo lectures ඉවර වෙලා රෑ ආපහු එද්දී බස් ඇත්තෙත් නැහැ.
degree එක කල් දාල Company එක ගොඩ දාන්න සෙට් උනා.
ටික කාලෙකින් බොසාල 2 වලියක් ගිහින් එකෙක් අයින් වෙලා ගියා. මම Trainee ඉගෙන ගන්න ආවට උනේ මම දන්නා ටිකෙන් වැඩ කරන්න උන එක. අලුත් කිසි දෙයක් ඉගෙන ගන්න උනේ නැහැ, මම තනියම නිසා.
(මම නමට PHP developer කෙනෙක්. Framework එකක් දන්නෙත් නැති)

දැන් තමා තේරෙන්නේ ඒ කාලේ අනුන්ට කඹුරන්න තිබුන පු% අමාරුව.​

යන්තම් කොහොම හරි ඇදගෙන අවුරුදු 2 ක් ආව. මුලින් පටන් ගනිපු උන්ගෙන් දැන් ඉතුරු මමයි බොසයි විතරයි. අලුත් developer ල 15 ක් විතර ඉන්න stable තත්වයෙන් දැනට තියෙනවා.
පඩිය නම් තාම 40,000. කවදාවත් පඩි ඉල්ලලත් නැහැ. සමහර වෙලාවට මාස 3 , 4 පඩි නැතුව හිටියා.

මගේ පුද්ගලික දේවල් සේරම නැති කරගෙන තමයි කම්පැනි එක මේ තැනට ගෙනාවේ.​

බොසා office එන්නෙත් අඩුවෙන්. සේරම දැනට බලන්නේ මම.

හරි, දැන් තමයි ප්‍රශ්නේ පටන් ගන්නේ. මම කිව්වනේ degree එක අතරමග නැවැත්තුව කියලා. බොසා පේරා එකෙක්. IT මොකුත්ම දන්නේ නැහැ. Accounts පොරක්. ලඟදි ඉඳන් පොර මට පල නොකියා පලා බෙදනවා වගේ දැනෙනවා. පොරගේ යාලුවෙක්ගෙ පුතෙක් මම ඉන්ටර්විව් කරලා Trainee විදියට ගත්තා. පොරට UGC approved IT degree එකක් තියෙනවා. එත් උඹල විස්වාස කරපන් පොර windows PC එකක් format කරන්න දන්නෙත් නැහැ. අඩුම ගානේ file zip කරන හැටිවත්.
හැබැයි පොතේ දැනුම 100%.

පොරව දැන් Project manager කරලා. පොර මට මොකුත් ටෝක්ස් දාන්න නම් එන්නේ නැහැ. එත් ටිකෙන් ටික බොසා මට කැපිල්ල වගේ දානවා.

තනිකර මගේ වැරැද්ද කියල දන්නවා බන්. සත 5 ක් ඉතුරු කරලා නැහැ. සමහර මාස වල කරන්ට් බිල් ගෙව්වෙත් මම.
IT කියන්නේ day-today update වෙන field එකක්. වෙන තැනකට ගියත් දැන් මට යන්න වෙන්නේ Trainee විදියට නේද ? experience වලින් විතරක් ජොබ් දෙන්නේ නැහැනේ ලංකාවේ.

IT අතාරලා දාල ලංකාවෙන් ගිහින් පිගන් හෝදන ජොබ් එකක් හරි කරන්න හිතෙනවා. සිරාවට..
ගෙදර මිනිස්සු ඉගෙන ගන්න වියදම් කරේ ලක්ෂ ගානක පඩියක් ගනී කියල හිතල. එත් උනේ හිටපු තැනමයි.

මම උඹලට කියන්නේ මේක පාඩමක් කර ගනිල්ලා. මගේ ජිවිතේ අවුරුදු 2 ක් මම නාස්ති කර ගත්තා වැඩි හොඳ කරන්න ගිහින්. කවදාවත් ජොබ් එකට ලව් කරන්න යන්නෙපා. උන්ට අපි කුලිකාරයෝ විතරයි.

කවදාහරි මට වෙන්නේ මේ ටිකම තමයි බව සිතා ගතිමි.​

I'm a Software Engineer-mobile(android-ios) earning 75k. okay. i only have hnd-se, ocpjp-se6 and few other professional qualifications. php is a easy to learn u knw that right. so now u have 2 yrs xp. u need to self study php frameworks and other stuff. then create a good c.v. and apply for a another job not a trainee believe me. be confident. u ar not a trainee. u have the experience. now u need to increase ur knowledge. believe me. i already gone through ur situation. i knw some people not gonna believe this. but last year (after that fucked up situation) i decide to do this. then after few months of self learning.(not much 4-5 months) i got my second job at very reputed company. u never believe with that interview some mora IT students with 2, 2 and half exp. so if u want to do that. 1st u need to believe ur self. then every thing is possible. and also now i'm working for a another company. believe me. in there some cadidates in mora 4 and 2.5 yrs exp. and colombo uni, uva wellassa, kalaniya, dublin uni with minimum 2yrs exp. and also some people in customer support department have msc, bsc with 1st class, 2nd upper class, etc... so my big advice is don't give up..

Machan, very sad to hear ur story,(typing from phone. )Find a backup plan asap. You re not a trainee anymore. With your experience you can try finding another job but dont tell anyone at workplace untill you re sure abt the new job. Also try outsourcing through internet, some people do this nicely.Dont give up bro, but get ready for anything.All the best.
