Port workers poised to launch strike


The All Ceylon Port General Workers’ Union announced that they would conduct a demonstration tomorrow (27), opposing the transfer of ownership of the Hambantota Port to private companies.
Chief Secretary of the All Ceylon Port General Workers’ Union, Chandrasiri Mahagamage added that a strike would also be launched the following day (28).
