I am not happy with the Australian system either. GP system takes ages to reach a hospital for any non-acute concerns.

Even if we blame the Sri Lankan system, it is far better. Sri Lankan medical professionals deserve better.

That's the case with any country. Specialists always flock around cities.

I live in south London and Kingston NHS trust is one of the better ones in UK. I got my specialist referral for serious eye infection in 1 day. My friend( also srilankan) got his endoscopy and cancer screening within 2 week and results in 2 days.

So yes I don't have any issue. Like I said if you live in crowded area or out of nowhere, you'll have to wait or go private. Biggest problem with NHS is poor management by individual trusts.
