The best single country is Norway. To see the beauty of Norway you need more than a month. We travelled everywhere (self-drive) and flew to Lofoten Islands and stayed for five days. If you cover Norway, you can skip Switzerland, NZ South Island and Northern Canada. You simply cannot compare the beauty if you go in the correct time.
The other two are undoubtedly Africa and South Americas. We spent more than five weeks in six African countries and we were so lucky to witness the main animal migration event. I still remember the day we entered Masai Mara, September 15th.
South Americas are different, We covered Brazil, Argentina, Chile and travelled to Ushuaia which is the gateway to the Antarctic. Then we flew to the Peruvian Amazon areas and ended up in Peru, Cusco on the 1st of January and visited Machu-Picchu.
We did the Amazonias from Brazil (Manuas) and also from Puerto MalDonado in Peru. So sad what happened in Manuas with Covid.

We had to drop the voyage to the Antarctic because of my son's schooling. That places a limit to our travels. But ever since he was able to walk he's been everywhere with us. He was never hand carried unless he fell asleep and was never a problem for us. BTW he turned 22 yesterday.
The next planned one is in March 2024, Mexico for 14 days and Belize. All airfares and hotels booked. I have been to Mexico before but only for a short time.
This time we plan to cover most of it.
PS: Visiting a country is not exactly the concrete or the theme parks. The natural beauty of a country isn't in the capital cities. Move away into the remote areas.
