No oil in Dubai they all depend on business

yeah. the emirate of Dubai has very little proven oil resources compared to neighboring emirates. All the wealth is through finance sector. but UAE as a whole has the world's 6th largest oil resources. Until they run out, it can supply money into the Dubai financial system.
The problem is all the money need to run the system comes from oil and tourism which is a very volatile sector. If the lifeline is cut, it can't sustain. I can see the grim reality beneath the so called "heaven on earth", Dubai
