    Airtag

Not GPS based. But airpod is better. Battery lasts over 2 years

I do have AirTags in bags when I travel. Also have a Tracki too. It has many features but since it's uses the SIM to communicate you got to activate it when you travel. Just pay for a month if needed.

    ඔව්ව හැම වෙලාවෙම පොඩි එකාගේ ඇගේ තියෙන ඒක හොදයිද?
It's not abot WiFi, But there could be safety issue. Apple claims it meets International Child Safety standards. With kids anything is possible. There's a chance that they will somehow get at the button battery inside.

I use these in travel bags. Not hung around kids' neck. We lost our guy twice, once in Paris, in a very large store and three years later in Alberta, Canada in a hotel. It's a long story. After Paris, we bought a harness which was strapped to the mother's hand. He wasn't happy at all and made a big fuss. He never cries or rather cried at all ever in his life. But made sure that he disliked the harness. It wasn't a big success with him.
