people say capital punishment is inhuman
drugging the youth and destroying thousands of innocent lives is not?
don't do the crime if you cant do the time
Nobody has right to take another man's life in any circumstances unless its war. Capital punishment is not 100% accurate in judicial system even in most advanced countries. It is non reversable when you hang the wrong man.
i agree. no body can take anybodies life at all ,period.but if somebody keeps taking others lives repeatedly? if you are not a fan of the guillotine then you have to suggest a better option
yes even US judiciary gets it wrong in homicide and rape trials seldom. but highly doubt there are wrongful convictions in drug related trials.
If this comes to play definitely drug crime rate would drop rapidly. But the problem is in case like this, think you want to kill somebody.. Then all you have to do is convict that person twice in row to get him hanged. Sri Lanka law is too weak to handle capital punishment
i agree ,the judicial system must be equipped with the proper technology and tools so that the public has its confidence on the convictions.
At least investigatiors should train to conduct their investigations using state of the art technolgy.. Some standards and evidence hadling methods should be impose properly.
