This is the downside of letting individuals to run transport services, instead of companies where they will stick to a schedule and the drivers and conductors are paid a fixed salary.
The next problem is that at least in the coastal line, the lack of express train services. If there are enough express services, the people will happily use these can the private operators can go to hell.
The third issue is that even if the damn bus is full, people still try get onto it. If everyone refuses to get in, these guys won't stop at every halt... and the next bus will operate. If you refuse to get in they won't stop and wait. Isn't it? You can't change these idiots unless the commuter changes their ways. Many a time I shout at bus drivers running long distance buses picking up Rs 10 fares in an already overloaded bus. One day when one conductor guy shouted back at me, not one single donkey in the bus opened their mouth. Finally a young girl was brave enough to talk. Who to blame? I gave the conductor back so much that eventually the driver told him to shut his mouth. When the bus is on the road neither the conductor, driver or owner is the king... but the commuter is! These are not private hires. The attitude of the commuter counts. Sadly that's what we lack. The same with politics... However much you get screwed you still vote and believe the next round he will be OK. Pathetic thinking.

I think you've said it perfectly. unless the commuters here change their attitude towards the bus service being operated on our roads, these private bus operators will always run amok. I got on a bus today in the evening and the inside of the bus looks like a damn night club with red led strips and darkened windows!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
who the hell thinks its a good idea to put lights right at passengers eye level? and with flashing lights inside the bus? why?
why can't there be regulations that standardize the buses that can be put on public roads to be used for public transport. each bus comes with a plethora of stickers and a row of boom boxes that will make the passengers ears bleed. and most people don't speak up about this, and even when someone speaks up they act like they're deaf or dumb and looks at you like you're a crazy person for speaking up :oo::oo::oo:
this is why this country is where it's at and others are passing us behind and moving forward... it's about having the right attitude

speaking about nightclub atmosphere inside the bus, how about make some strippers dance about poles and bars fixed to the floor of the bus. StripClub is always better than a nightclub. It jsut accurred to me. :P
