Correct... Our normal diet usually has the required iron content. However, some are iron deficient. But you don't take iron based on your fancies. There are tests that needs to be done to establish iron deficiency. Full blood count with additional tests like serum ferritin, iron, total iron-binding capacity, and/or transferrin etc
There are off the shelf tablets and tonics and these products differ in strength. You need to get proper advice based on these tests to figure out what's the correct dosage you need, if you are iron deficient.

Is it fine to take Feroglobin since it's a food supplement?

It's considered to be safe. But why? The iron you need depends on the age, sex and whether you are a vegetarian. Vegetarians who do not eat any meat or fish need more iron than listed below (approx double)

    Life StageRecommended Amount
    Birth to 6 months
    0.27 mg
    Infants 7–12 months
    11 mg
    Children 1–3 years
    7 mg
    Children 4–8 years
    10 mg
    Children 9–13 years
    8 mg
    Teen boys 14–18 years
    11 mg
    Teen girls 14–18 years
    15 mg
    Adult men 19–50 years
    8 mg
    Adult women 19–50 years
    18 mg
    Adults 51 years and older
    8 mg
    Pregnant teens
    27 mg
    Pregnant women
    27 mg
    Breastfeeding teens
    10 mg
    Breastfeeding women
    9 mg

There's a separate higher upper limit that you shoudn't exceed because it could be harmful.
Note that not all forms iron are the same. There's heme and nonheme. Heme iron comes from animals, and nonheme iron comes from plants. Heme iron gets its name from the heme protein attached to a lone iron atom. The “heme” in the blood protein hemoglobin refers to this protein-bound form of iron.
Nonheme iron is not combined with a heme protein, and this difference is the reason for the body’s reduced ability to absorb nonheme iron. Nonheme is th eone you get from veggies.
