He was simply a gifted number freak. In 1914 he presented two formulas that calculated Pi converging rapidly. Only In 1987, Chudnovsky brothers discovered another formula that converges more rapidly.

Last February I posted the following problem... Nobody answered or bumped it.
There is a street of houses with consecutive numbers between 50 and 500, Find the house number, for which, the sum of numbers on the left is equal to the sum of numbers on the right.
All houses are on just one side of the street.
eg: Say , if the house numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6, 7, and 8. Then house No#6 fits this condition. (
either side of house No#6
adds up to 15)
PS: When someone answers, I will update on the background of this problem...
