may be. How did AKD and Nandana G escaped as both from Pera Uni Sc Fac and Agri Fac respectively. Both were active members both were caught by Police and they had evidence of their involvements. I know that some were killed for very little involvement with JVP eg writing posters, pasting them, attending their classes etc. How did AKD who was from very poor family with no political connections from Thambuthegama, Gamini College and a very active member and may be involved in political killings (which I suspect) was spared ? Same for Nandana? There are many such examples. eg Wimal, Telvin.
My reasoning is JVP top brass never get exposed and get things done by uni students and they hide. Both Wijeweera and Bopage were found by chance and this entire opreation (code name .... ?)was carried out by Gen. Cicil Widyarahna and Gen Algama and both of them were shot by jvp while on civil at Galle Face, but escaped during height of JVP. There was a JVP insider in MP in the operation head quarters which was situated near havelock town where former WHO/UN head quarters in front of Henri Pedris Stadium. This stadium was long used as MP and Army barracks with tanks.This person had even videoed very sensitive information and was caught before he implemented his plan.I think this MP Commissioneed officer had lot of information and this resulted Mr. Wijewera and his deputy being caught . We do not know what happened to this person. All above were facts that were publicly available at that time from mainstream media except AKD and Nandana which were from their batch mates in Pera Uni who were also arrested for very trivial things and detained for a long time and also tortured and released later and they no longer in that party for obvious reasons.
