Because of the numerous travels I made the passports naturally ran out of pages, and thus had to opt for a new one but visas on the old one.

I havent any visa on my current one. So i do not want to atteche current one along new one. Do they attache both together if we take a new one insteed of damaged?

In which case, I tend to agree with you. Then you don't need the old one at all. I am not sure whether you have been given the correct advice. In any case they staple it together, just separate them. Simple.
