ඖෂධ වර්ගයක්‌ අධිකව පානය කළ
ලක්‍ෂ්මන් හුළුගල්ල අසාධ්‍යව රෝහලේ

ජනාධිපතිවරයා විසින් අහෝසි කරන ලද ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව පිළිබඳ මාධ්‍ය මධ්‍යස්‌ථානයේ අධ්‍යක්‍ෂ ජනරාල් ලෙස කටයුතු කළ ලක්‍ෂ්මන් හුළුගල්ල මහතා හදිසියේ රෝගාතුරව අසාධ්‍ය තත්ත්වයෙන් පෙරේදා (21 වැනිදා) රාත්‍රි කොළඹ පෞද්ගලික රෝහලකට ඇතුළත් කර තිබේ.

රෝගීන්ට ලබාදෙන ඖෂධ වර්ගයක්‌ අධිකව පානය කිරීම නිසා මෙලෙස රෝගීව අසාධ්‍ය තත්ත්වයට පත්ව සිටින බව වාර්තා වේ.

රැගෙන ආ අවස්‌ථාවේ සිටම කොළඹ පෞද්ගලික රෝහලේ දැඩි සත්කාර ඒකකයක්‌ වෙත ඇතුළත් කෙරුණු හුළුගල්ල මහතා ඊයේ (22 වැනිදා) රාත්‍රි වන විටත් එහි ප්‍රතිකාර ලබමින් සිටියේය.

හුළුගල්ල මහතා කිසියම් සිද්ධියක්‌ හේතුවෙන් අදාළ ඖෂධයේ පෙති 20 ක්‌ පමණ පානය කර ඇති බවද සඳහන් වේ.

කොළඹ සූදුපිටියක්‌ පොලිසිය මගින් වැටලීමෙන් පසුව ඇති වූ සිද්ධීන් කිහිපයක්‌ හේතුවෙන් ඉකුත් දිනවල හුළුගල්ල මහතා සම්බන්ධ කෙරෙමින් මාධ්‍ය වාර්තා රැසක්‌ද පළ විය.

ඒ මහතා අධ්‍යක්‍ෂ ජනරාල් ධුරය දැරූ ජාතික ආරක්‍ෂාව පිළිබඳ මාධ්‍ය මධ්‍යස්‌ථානය විසුරුවා හැරීමට ජනාධිපතිවරයා පියවර ගනු ලැබුවේ එම සිද්ධිදාමය හමුවේ හුළුගල්ල මහතා පිළිබඳ ආන්දොaලනාත්මක කතා ගණනාවක්‌ ප්‍රචාරය වෙමින් තිබියදීය.​

This man is a typical example of how the government operates. A well known government henchman with out significant education given highest positions in the govt. and as the media office for security he lied and lied on behalf of the govt. and most of the times his lies were very obvious. He obviously used his power for gratification of all his desires and when caught in his acts, he transfers the police offices who did their duty. No one in govt. stood up for the innocent policeman, and hence which public officer wants to do their duty!!! Even the police spokesman says they were routine transfers!!! From top to bottom are mega liers. All these political criminals were and are above the law...... and no wonder the biggest criminals doing rape, murder, crime, drugs etc are the politicians as they are never caught and punished. A land like no other !!!

The media can’t kill me- Hulugalle

Former director general of the Media Centre for National Security, Lakshman Hulugalle, speaking to Daily Mirror a short while ago denied reports that he had attempted suicide and said instead that he was at home and in good health.

“The media can’t kill me. I’m above the media. This is also another media circus. I'm at home and well. If I took poison I would be dead by now. It is the media who are making up this entire story,” he said.

When asked whether he had visited any hospital during the day for any other ailment, Hulugalle said that he did not have to keep the media informed about his visits.

“Why should I tell the media when I go to hospital or for what purpose I do so? I don’t need to do that," he said.

However, when Daily Mirror contacted the Lanka Private Hospital in Colombo around 9 pm yesterday, the hospital authorities confirmed that a person named ‘Lakshman Hulugalle’ was in hospital receiving treatment at that time.
