AMD Phenom II Benchmarks Out....

All you Intel fanboys here forget one thing. If AMD wasn't there to stick it to Intel, even the crappiest Celeron would cost like $200. And would they even bother to spend a shitload on research to make better CPUs? (Think Pentium 4 Ds in 2009!) 
AMD bringing out equally good technology at cheaper rates keeps the prices in check and makes the Intel Gorilla work for its money.
After having soundly thrashed Intel in their K8 hayday, AMD's had some rough times with the Original B2 Phenoms etc, but the new processors are a good indicator that they're starting to fight back again. Which means better technology at lower prices for us, from either chipmaker!

What i don't understand is why you call us "Intel fanboys". Is it fanboysm that make someone go for higher performance product, or is it common sense? your argument maybe ok for you, but i'm sure intel's financial specialists know of elasticity of demand.
say if the celeron cpus are around $200. say 1000 people would buy them. if you make it half price, WAY more than 2000 people will buy it, giving them more revenue AND hopefully profit.
as a company, they can't sell one product for a high price and make a big profit at one time. the company has to be alive, and have to sell cpu's throughout the years. they have to give an incentive to upgrade.
i'm sure software companies won't develop apps that only a handful of people will sell. which means, there is no reason for people to upgrade their pc's because most apps are designed to run fine on old hardware. again, who's gonna pay.
worst case wouldn't be intel selling cpus at a high price, but intel also going out of business!

Actually Intel has Proven they don't give a damn about the Price the buyer pay for its products during the original Pentium to Pentium III era, because they didn't quite had any contender so Intel processors were extremely expensive, Intel had a Complete monopoly over the x86 processor market till AMD Kick Intel in the face with the original Athlon, It was Extremely fast for that day and was much cheaper so Intel had to rethink about the Prices and a new CPU Architechture, AMD Always Kept the CPU market in balance, the K8 forced Intel to Abandon Netburst because K8 showed intel what kinda Trash Netburst was, So Intel digged out the old P6 and made Significant improvements and the Core 2 was born, I admit In the Hayday of AMD (2000 - 2006) They kinda moved to the Dark side, they Also forgot they have to Develop a new Archtechture, they forgot Intel wont sit back and relax, AMD is suffering to this day because of that. but Im sure it learned its lesson, Phenom II is a great Processor, but AMD desparately need a new Processor soon.
Looking at this Road map, I cant Imagine how AMD is going to Survive 2010, It will be fine this year but once Intel start taping out the 32nm Westmere and Later on the new architecture Sandy Bridge AMDs going to be in a shit load of Trouble. and Intel has all the resources to excute its Roadmap like clockwork, I still cant belive why they pushed the New Processor archtitechture to 2011, fingers crossed.
