Yes that regret is not worth the new car smell. You will also miss relatively cheap straightforward repairs also. I mean if you have enough budget go for a newer car by all means but if not just hold on to the 121.

I'd definitely keep it over an aqua or a GP5 especially if you bought it relatively new. It's next to impossible to find a 121 in good condition and I feel a used aqua or a GP5 won't have much to offer you over a pristine 121

You could bring it back to superb condition instead of paying 3x of what it's worth for an Aqua and end up feeling like you downgraded

True but wait for the correct opportunity. Unless you buy at least a new Yaris Cross it's not worth an upgrade. Obviously a regular hatch won't be as comfortable as a sedan.

121 is a straight forward no bullshit car which is good on your purse in the Long run. if i were you. i would restore it to the former glory and keep it. we had a Corolla 122 Luxel 1800CC Model Back in day with the family. Interior is a bliss compared to the later Axio 141 and Hybrid models.. Materials are far better than newest cars..

You can't rebuild these units with brand new internals and make it run like it did out of the factory after 20-25 years of use like you can with cars from 2000-2010 era
