Indians tamils muslims and others do not have this problem because they always look into thier history to find a suitable names to their offsprings and that is their culture.
They are proud of their history and ancient names
We also clime we have proud history behind us but unfortunately only for name sake and therefore no more Gamunu Prakrama or Gotabaya
We may be the last generation to have normal ancestral names
Look at Indian or England cricketers names you find names like Goutham Vije Rahul and David John
They are normal people. I am sorry to say
Most of Sinhalies are stupid mad and confused
Thanks to our old schools some of our old names would remain Ananda Anula etc..
otherwise your children will feel they are completely disjointed from our past
