Ask the ticketing officer to get the visa cus at the Thai embassy the lines are normally so long that will take ages to go in, even to collect the passports its the same, most travel agent get u the visa for 500 Rs more other than the visa fees, it was free those days but now as i remember for more than 3 days 1500 Rs and less than 3 days 3000 Rs (transit visa) all u need is a copy of your bank account pass book or banks statements, when it comes to hotels there are so many but i normally stay in Baiyoke Sky Hotel but its bit costly
