Rethinking joining Calcey Technologies after learning about recent layoffs
Hey everyone,
After planning for a long time to join Calcey Technologies, a recent Glassdoor review has completely changed my perspective.
LINK - The review highlighted a very toxic environment, recent layoff of over 50 experienced employees due to bad management, and a lack of learning growth. This has led me to decide against joining the company.
Given this experience, I'm curious about the current trends in the tech industry, particularly in terms of company culture and job security. Is this an isolated incident, or are many companies facing similar issues? I'm now considering whether it's safer to look for opportunities outside of Sri Lanka, possibly remote positions, to find a better work environment.
I would really appreciate any insights or advice on the matter. What's the general sentiment about the tech industry's direction, especially regarding workplace culture and stability?
Thanks for your thoughts!
