Colombo - Melbourne Sri Lankan Airlines flight (one way) එක use කරල තියන කට්ටියගෙන් උදව්වක් ඕනේ. මේ flight එකේ baggage allowanace එක 40kg (checked baggage ). එතකොට 2 pieces ගෙනියන්න පුළුවන් ද දෙකේම බර එකතුව 40kg වලට අඩු නම්. Allow කරලා තියන size වලින් ඕනෑම size දෙකකින් 2 pieces ගෙනියන්න පුළුවන් ද? (Ex: ලොකුම size එක bags 2ක්)

I don't think they allow 40kgs. Generally it's 30kgs. I have heard that some time ago they had a special allowance for migrants. But not sure whether they still do. The best is that you check with your travel agent. Otherwise you have to pay excess baggage charges usually quite high.
But you can check in two pieces without exceeding the allowance limit.

Only to USA destinations they allow 2 bags generally 23kgs each.

Sri Lankan Airlines Col - Melbounre (one way) economy class. From their website. But here there is nothing mentioned about the number of pieces allowed. That is the issue. See the screenshots machan. It says 40 kg for this flight. I think it is becauze many students and migrants use this.

Could be... Sure you can use two pieces... You cannot load 40kg in one bag. (max weight per bag is 32kg usually)
