Okay since u all have stared fighting ill tell u some legal aspects of customs ordinance of sri lanka which are related to the things u do here.. there are director generals of customs DGC, recently it was restructured to 9 i guess so Powerseller wat u sayn is correct, every DGC has a specific area (narcotics, flora & fauna, intellectual rights. etc...) & by the following are few important sections of the customs ordinance which u must know,

Section 125 - The customs has the full right to forfeit any goods imported against the imports procedure (without any hearing)

Section 135 - The DGC has the power to approve a hearing before forfeit

Section 163 - The DGC has the mitigation power at any instance regarding any import

this is just few, but there customs law in sri lanka is a vast area which needs abt 1 year to study in full. however this is a law which is more than 100 years old, currently they are working on some amendments & revisions, so soon there will be a new one, ill update u all once i get in touch with it.

Just ask if u have any concerns reg the Customs law.. (even Civil & Criminal law in sri lanka
