Nope

Traffic - get a chauffeur ( don’t tell me there’s no traffic in main cities of other countries)

Electricity - Backup Generator/Solar (Yes you can get Solar off grid)

Gas - Not a problem, there are other alternatives.

Water - Have a storage tank may be ? Honestly can’t remember the last time I ran out of water in SL.

Best part is that you don’t have to be super duper rich to do all this in SL. So I agree with the first part of his comment.

If the country defaults and we run out of petrol/diesel then there’s a real problem.

yes, machan you are correct every society has its ups and downs.it's about how you want to live your life.i'm not saying sri lanka is a 100% perfect country for me as well. but still, if i prioritize my needs and wants Sri Lanka is at top.

still, you have to communicate and face local people, like if you fix something or repair you have to deal with local vendors. LOL, that's the main hassle their attitude makes your brain drain. even you have the money you can't fix people's attitudes. where I live now mostly like 90% of people are genuine and respectful. So I would rather live among them and no hassle. But I would agree with this, I would change myself if a good leader come to the power in Sri Lanka. That reason may change the whole system. peoples' attitude even it takes some time. I didn't have this kind of strong mind before 2 years ago. this government changed a lot of things. This government loses millions of dollars of foreign income to the country.

I respect your perspective machan. Maybe the area I grown-up was better than the rest of sri lanka in terms of people's attitude. as for the topic "Do you think Sri Lanka is a better place if you are rich" i think sri lanka is a better place if you are rich and influential.
