මචං මෙහෙමයි බලන්න inflation එක දැන් NCPI එක 21% විතර ඒ නිසා 20% ට වඩා rate එකක් හොයාගන්න වෙනවා. දානවා නම් මාස 3 කට වඩා දාන්න එපා. මැයි වල වැඩිවෙයි කියලා කියනවා. හැබැයි sure නෑ.

if normal FD gives you 16% for 3 months and treasury bills only about 20% for 3 months or ?

example.
FD rate ( 16% for 3 months )100,000 x 16/100 = 16000 after 3months for FD? or its 16 % for 12 months and 16000/12 =1333 x 3 = 4000 after 3months?

treasury bills 20% , same as FD? or after 3 months will get 100,000 x 20/100 = 20,000 ?

please explain . podak confused .

So the rates are usually quoted per annum.
Accordingly, a T-Bill with a face value of 100,000/- at 20% for 3 months would mean-> 100,000x 20/100 = 20,000/12 =1666.66x3 =Rs.5,000/-
