    Ronaldo's agent: PSG move possible

    cristianoronaldotraining20130426_576x324.jpg

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent is not ruling out the possibility the player could move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Ronaldo, 28, has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu since saying in September last year that he was “unhappy”. In February, he said that his sadness had passed, but he has yet to agree terms on a contract extension, and speculation over his future has persisted.

ESPN understands Manchester United have been working on a package to tempt the Portugal international back to Old Trafford, but PSG’s vast wealth could pave the way for a move to Ligue 1. Jorge Mendes, the forward’s agent, has done little to discourage that speculation.“With strong players, it is normal that big teams are interested,” he told Radio Mana Mana. “Paris Saint-Germain is a possibility.”

Angel Di Maria, another of Mendes’ clients, has also been linked with an exit, although it would appear rumours of a move to Juventus have little foundation.
“I think it’s hard to see him going to Italy," the agent said. "The transfer would require a significant amount of money, and Italian teams don’t spend like they used to.”

Mendes also put his client Jose Mourinho’s chances of joining Chelsea at 80%, with the coach's exit expected to pave the way for a clear-out of the agent’s players at the Bernabeu. One player who appears certain to remain is Karim Benzema. The France striker’s agent, Karim Djaziri, told calciomercato.com that there is no prospect he could be tempted by PSG or Juventus.

“It’s not even worth commenting on these rumours,” he said. “As I have said many times, and never tire of repeating, my client will not leave Madrid.”

:(:sorry:Fergie could miss start of season

    siralexfergusonwoe20111202_576x324.jpg

Sir Alex Ferguson could miss the beginning of next season after it was confirmed that he is to have a hip operation at the end of July.

Ferguson, 71, will undergo surgery when the club return from their three-week pre-season tour at the end of July. Although there is no timescale on how long Ferguson would reasonably need to recover, the club are due to face Manchester City or Wigan in the Community Shield on August 11 with their Premier League title defence starting the following week.Manchester United have privately confirmed reports in the media that Ferguson is booked in for the operation when the club return from Thailand, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong.

Ferguson was taken ill at a function in Scotland nearly a year ago, although the nosebleeds he suffered were put down to the number of short flights he had undertaken. That forced him to miss pre-season matches in Norway and Germany and he also sat out a mid-winter break in Qatar.

At United's Carrington training ground on Friday, Ferguson remained in high spirits and poured champagne for the gathered journalists who attended his press conference as he celebrated a 13th Premier League title.
