Official: Hull sign Diame from West Ham

    413250_heroa.jpg

Hull City have completed the signing of Mohamed Diame from West Ham for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Steve Bruce's side after falling down the pecking order at Upton Park.

He becomes the Tigers second signing on deadline day after they also agreed a deal to bring Abel Hernandez to the club.

"I'm delighted to welcome Mohamed to the club," Bruce told Hull's official website.

He added: "His experience, both at international level and in the Premier League will be invaluable for us as we look to cement our place in the top-flight."

Diame moved to England in 2009 after joining Wigan Athletic before moving to West Ham in 2012 on a free transfer.

He went onto make 71 Premier League appearances for the Irons, scoring seven goals.

He now joins the Tigers and will compete with the likes of Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore for a place in the starting eleven.

Newcastle outcast Ben Arfa set for Hull move

    393729_heroa.jpg

Hull City are set to seal a shock transfer deadline day swoop for Newcastle's Hatem Ben Arfa, Goal understands.

The 27-year-old has just a year left on his deal at St James' Park - but has been told that he has no future at the club by boss Alan Pardew.

Pardew has refused to use Ben Arfa since the end of last season, but the player has insisted that he does not want to leave.

He shunned an approach from Turkish giants Besiktas last week, but now looks to be on the move, with Steve Bruce, who has already swooped for Mohamed Diame and Abel Hernandez on transfer deadline day, making a bid to land the former Marseille playmaker.

Goal understands Hull have agreed terms with Newcastle and the player is now due for a medical.

Borini move to QPR stalls as Kranjcar arrives for talks

    450176_heroa.jpg

QPR owner Tony Fernandes has revealed that a move for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini has stalled after the player failed to agree personal terms.

The Loftus Road outfit seemed destined to beat Sunderland to the striker's signature after agreeing a £10 million fee with Brendan Rodgers's side.

But Fernandes has claimed the player and his agent have not been realistic with their demands as the transfer deadline approaches.

"I’m not confident Borini will happen. With player and agent expectations, sometimes people aren't very realistic, and we’re not going to be silly with what we do," he told Sky Sports News.

"There’s always ways of doing things but I’m not confident."

Goal understands Tottenham midfielder Sandro is close to completing a move to the Rs while Niko Kranjcar has arrived at Loftus Road to complete a deal to bring him back to the Premier League.

And despite looking set to miss out on Borini, Fernandes did admit interest in bringing Jermain Defoe to the club.

Toronto FC have insisted the player is not for sale, though, but Fernandes has left the door open for a January move.

"There’s a will from both sides but its whether the Canadians are willing to release him now," he continued.

"They’re in the play-offs so they’ll have to make some decisions. If not now then maybe in January something will happen."

Official: Ajax confirm Blind's move to Manchester United

    449614_heroa.jpg

Ajax have confirmed that Daley Blind has completed his move to Manchester United.

A deal worth €17.5 million was agreed between the two clubs on Saturday, with personal terms and a medical having now been finalised.

The Netherlands international, who can play both in midfield and at left-back, bid farewell to his Ajax team-mates, with whom he won four consesutive league titles.

The son of Ajax and Netherlands legend Danny Blind had earlier expressed his delight at having secured a switch to Old Trafford, telling reporters that United are "one of the biggest clubs in the world".

    BweJVYMIMAACber.jpg

His acquisition by Louis van Gaal's side, along with British-record signing Angel Di Maria, has been welcomed by new team-mate Juan Mata, saying: "I am sure these two players will give a lot to us and will strengthen the team.

"We already know what Angel is capable of, his ability and dribbling skills, and Daley has a great touch and is very intelligent, as he showed during the World Cup."

However, Red Devils legend Paul Scholes is less convinced that Blind will improve the side.

Blind was a key member of the Netherlands team who, under Van Gaal, finished third at the World Cup over the summer.

    Official: AC Milan sign Bonaventura

    451413_heroa.jpg

AC Milan have snapped up Atalanta winger Giacomo Bonaventura on a five-year deal after the collapse of their move for Parma's Jonathan Biabiany.

The French attacker had looked set to make San Siro his home after being pictured with a Milan t-shirt and scarf earlier on Monday, but Cristian Zaccardo's decision not to move to the Ennio Tardini as part of the swap deal brought about the collapse of the ex-Inter man's transfer.

Milan moved quickly to sign a replacement, though, bringing in Bonaventura from Atalanta in a deal worth around €7m plus bonuses.

The 25-year-old is a product of the Bergamo side's youth system and played 134 games for the Orobici over a seven-year period.

He joins Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel at Milan, with both players having been confirmed as new signings by the club in the final days of the transfer window.

Official: Miyaichi joins FC Twente on loan

    274737_heroa.jpg

Arsenal's Japanese playmaker, Ryo Miyaichi, has joined Eredivisie side FC Twente on a season-long loan, the Premier League club have confirmed.

The 21-year-old's move marks a return to Dutch football, having spent the second half of the 2010-11 season on loan at Feyenoord.

Last season was the first of Miyaichi's career with the Gunners that he did not go out on loan but the youngster made only seven appearances in all competitions for Arsene Wenger's side.

He has also previously spent time representing Bolton and Wigan but has yet to make an impression on his parent club's first team.

Miyaichi is the second player to leave the Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day, with Ignasi Miquel having joined Norwich City on a permanent deal.

Official: Pandev and Dzemaili join Galatasaray

    348366_heroa.jpg

Galatasaray have announced the permanent signings of Napoli midfielder Blerim Dzemaili and attacker Goran Pandev.

The Switzerland international and Macedonian forward entered talks with the Turkish Super Lig giants over the weekend and flew to Istanbul to finalise personal terms and medical tests.

Galatasaray have since confirmed that both players have completed their moves before the closure of the transfer window, with Dzemaili joining for a fee of €2.35 million, while Pandev arrives on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old Dzemaili is set to earn €2.4m for the first year of his three-year deal in Turkey, and €2.1m for the remaining two years. Pandev, meanwhile, will earn the same amount in 2014-15 and will then trigger an extension to match Dzemaili's deal if he plays in 28 games or more for the club.

Dzemaili, who joined Napoli from Parma in 2011, has fallen behind Gokhan Inler, Jorginho and Walter Gargano in the pecking order under Rafael Benitez and was encouraged to look for a new club after returning from World Cup duty.

Pandev, 31, spent two years at the San Paolo after winning a Champions League title with previous club Inter.

Arsenal strike €20m Welbeck deal with Manchester United

    451405_heroa.jpg

Arsenal have agreed a €20 million fee for Danny Welbeck, Goal understands.

The Gunners have settled on a deal with Manchester United in the last few minutes and the England international has been given permission to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with the club.

The striker is set to be offered a four-year contract with the option of a fifth year worth €120,000-a-week.

Arsene Wenger sanctioned a sensational late bid for Welbeck after failing to capture Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy over the last 48 hours.

The Gunners are now set to be successful in snatching Welbeck from under the noses of Tottenham, who were in advanced discussions to sign him on loan.

Goal understands that conversations with United on deadline day had centred on Arsenal trying to convince the 20-times Premier League champions to release Welbeck on a permanent deal rather than on loan.

It is believed that Arsenal had initially offered €16.5m for the forward and United had demanded €23m but the two clubs have now settled on a €20m move, though United are refusing to sanction his exit until they have completed the loan signing of Radamel Falcao from Monaco.

Welbeck, who trained with England at Arsenal's London Colney headquarters on Monday, had been on standby this evening to undergo a medical at the centre and has now been given permission to do so.

Official: QPR sign Sandro from Tottenham

    417929_heroa.jpg

Queens Park Rangers have signed Tottenham midfielder Sandro for an undisclosed fee, the west Londoners have confirmed.

The 25-year-old, who has made 17 appearances for the Brazilian national team, has signed a three-year deal at Loftus Road.

Sandro joined Spurs from Internacional in 2010 and went on to make 81 Premier League appearances, though he had recently fallen down the pecking order after a string of injuries.

Etienne Capoue and Nabil Bentaleb started all three of Tottenham's league matches this season, including a 4-0 win over the Hoops, while the arrival of Benjamin Stambouli has blocked his path to the first team even further.

    Bweg7_lCIAAJ4xh.jpg

nstead, Sandro will be reunited with Harry Redknapp, who gave him his Spurs debut while at White Hart Lane, and the star becomes QPR's seventh summer signing.

"He brings energy, aggression, power and quality," enthused Redknapp to the club's official website. "They call him the Beast."

"He’s not only a top quality footballer, but a fantastic boy as well. He’ll lead by example for us."

Sandro added: "I like new challenges and this is one I’m really looking forward to. I will give everything on the pitch and fight for every minute. I’m ready and raring to go."

Official: Stoke sign Assaidi on loan

    435417_heroa.jpg

Stoke have signed Oussama Assaidi from Liverpool on a season-long loan, the club have confirmed.

The Morocco international spent the 2013-14 season on loan at the Britannia Stadium, scoring a spectacular last-minute winner against Chelsea, and becomes the club's seventh player to sign for the club this summer.

Mark Hughes has also acquired Mame Biram Diouf, Steve Sidwell, Phil Bardsley, Bojan, Victor Moses and Dionatan Teixeira in the transfer window and moved for Assaidi after Peter Odemwingie picked up a knee injury during the club's 1-0 win over Manchester City at the weekend.

“It’s unfortunate that we look like being without Peter for a while but following his setback we felt it was important that we moved to bolster the resources at our disposal," Hughes told the club's official website upon completion of Assaidi's move.

“It’s clear from talking to Oussama that he really enjoyed his time with us last season and he’s looking forward to picking up where he left off with us.”

Assaidi made 19 appearances for Stoke last season and could make his second debut for the club against Leicester following the international break.

Defoe not going anywhere, say Toronto

    414940_heroa.jpg

Toronto FC will not sell Jermain Defoe before the transfer deadline, club executive Tim Leiweke has confirmed.

Goal understands that QPR and West Ham were both interested in signing the England international on Monday, with Leicester City also joining the race.

But Rs chairman Tony Fernandes said of any possible deal that “it’s whether the Canadians are willing to release him now” and the Major League Soccer club are determined to keep hold of their prized asset.

"Obviously the bids that were most intense were for Jermain Defoe," Leiweke told the Toronto Sun. "We're not interested in him going anywhere.

"There were three different clubs that approached us."

Defoe joined the MLS side from Tottenham in January, briefly being loaned back to White Hart Lane before the start of the American season.
