    Well I disagree.

The more talented you are, the more demanding you are. Too many noobs means you can outsmart the majority and demand higher prices. I sometimes charge higher prices for serious clients who want to maintain code quality. They are often OK to pay even a ridiculous quote of the guy is talented enough.

    - Is your job really secure? I'm booked until mid-2017 and I've been doing online work since Dec 2010. Never been happier. Never felt insecure.

    - True. But you can have an emergency fund and register a company for your name and become owner of it.

    - freelancing doesn't mean you work by yourself. It's inevitable that you'll have to work with a remote team.

    Now, for the benefits:
    - you get to decide what projects you want to take.
    - you get to decide how much you want to get paid for the task.
    - you can bloody travel the world and the clients wouldn't care. I have committed code from my bed, our school, friends places, in Beijing bar street right next to a porn comics store, in Mumbai, on their national day.
    - all your income is tax-free. You bring USD to the country after all.
    - you have so much time you don't know what to do.
    - hourly payments instead of monthly.

hehe ... mehemai ban math 2009 indan remote employee kenek widiyata weda karanne ... started as a freelancer and then moved to a full time remote position.

I'm not talking about noobs but there are highly skilled people around the world just offering their services for penny.

In my opinion, you're an exceptional case and not every freelancers enjoying that type of luxury.

    Enjoy your freelance journey ;)
