Just tell them that you do undertake consultancy services privately on a payment basis.
They should not really ask for a sales plan presentation. Therein lies the problem. But they sure can discuss and ask about strategies in general and your approach.
BTW I am not in sales or marketing..

Not sure what the company is, but how are they going to gauge your creativity if you don't show it to them? Also presentations can bring out other qualities of a candidate which cannot be gauge using alternate tests. So best thing is to do this without over thinking.

Of course you have point there. But if they did not select me and select anyone still they can implement my ideas. when it's to come marketing ideas is every thing so I dn't feel comfortable to share my ideas for free of charge if they needed see my talent they could have told me build a strategy for some imaginary product .. so then they can understand my potential. this is not the first time I have requested to make strategies for 2nd stage of the interviews . For me this is robing ideas.

Yeap I think you too have a point about giving some unrelated product. But machan how experience are you when it comes to marketing? Are you a novice or are you some reputed dude in the market? That is something they will take in to consideration if you put your counter proposal forward.

That's exactly what I said earlier. They sure can ask you to do a presentation on some fictitious product. What they should be really after is is not to steal your concepts, which is ethically wrong, but to assess your sales abilities and skills of presentation or to conduct a meeting etc. For eg they can ask you to do a presentation to sell chopsticks.
I know for some positions they repeatedly call the prospective candidates over several times. I find it a bit nonsensical & way over the top. I can gauge anyone in less than 30 minutes fairly reasonably.

Of course . ideas are not worth unless we implement those. So they will probably implement those even I won't selected plus it's not easy as you think preparing a strategy even though I am ready to do that if they pay me or confirming hiring me otherwise better they find a someone else

Agree - but seems to be in this thread (only in this thread) i have seen some people who talking sense, for my experience the people who speaks sense are not waiting to be execute their ideas,

in-fact this is real people with experience.
