I had this prob b4 with my connection. i was using a wireless router with inbuilt adsl modem. i could connect to the internet but it was very slow. no ebay, no torrents, very slow download. so i had to run the router CONNECTION WIZARD from the router config menu instead of entering the username and password mannualy which i was not able to set some important settings for my adsl connection.

So you connect ur Modem to router via USB and router to PC via RJ45. dont you have to use a filter between modem and phone line?.

have you try connecting your modem directly to PC by completly uninstaling & reintalling the modem drivers? if yes does it make any difference?.

1000 package has a contention ratio of 1:1 where as the 2XXX (Home) package has it as 1:40... So the speed in the 2XXX connection can go hell slow when there are more users in your area! Try at night... the speed may be better cause less users (offices, etc...)... That's the story....

Still there is no download limit ne! ithn 2XXX eka hondai!

Just remove the screws of that box which fix it to the wall or wood. And fix it on a place where its not effected from rain and other environmental effects. Mostly inside of your side boards in the balcony roof. So if you want you can fix the splitter near that too.

You only get 20KBps from download managers too? I mean like IDM with file split to 8 parts?

Try downloading files from the SLT site. They have some files like Eudora and AVG so you can see the download speed from local servers.
