I'd like to take this exame but I dont have any offer to go abroad. but I think as a language qualification this will be help full to us. Am I correct? also I'd like to know about which course should I take becuase there are two IELTS course available.

if you have done this exame either academic or general, could you please explain about your experience with this IELTS. and how should i determine which course will be valuable for me.

IELTS Academic & IELTS general.

if you have done this exame either academic or general, could you please explain about your experience with this IELTS. and how should i determine which course will be valuable for me.

IELTS General is usually recommended for migration purposes and Academic is required as an English Language qualification to study in a foreign university or in any other academic establishment. IELTS is generally accepted in countries in Commonwealth whereas other qualifications like TOEFL are accepted elsewhere (For example : the US)

Cambridge books are available in British Council library. If you register for the exam with them, you get to access the IELTS section of their library.

If you want to learn engligh do some other course. IELTS is design for migration and for educational purposes. No harm in reading ielts books. Reading in engligh will help you in great deal to improve English.
