Not if you get into the right R & D teams.the problem is IFS has there own framework. so if you want to work there in your life time then it's OK, but if you want to move to some other companies then forget about it.
Certain teams have a really amazing tech stack now including Java, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux/Shell scripting etc.
What you said is true for teams that use the in-house framework. However, there are lot of customer/partner consultancy opportunities for them around the world.
