If you have not saved your SHSH blobs via Tinyumbrella you cant update to 5.0.1, the signing period is over trough itunes now.
you have a ipad basedband firmware 3GS. so you can update to 5.1.1 and jailbreak via absinthe or Redsn0w. and unlock via ultrasn0w.
