Of course he did good things machan.gave good leadership to a team regarding the war.
But the man of the match in the war was SF undoubtedly & the captain hasn't performed well for the team ever since.So as it happens,when captain doesn't perform,you have to replace him with another good player in the team

Even former British PM Winston Churchill who lead the allied forces to victory over germany & foiled Hitler's plans on capturing whole of europe with the felp of the Russians & french lost the next election held in Britain & even lost his own seat in the parliment

It proves just one thing...

You can sell a war to some people sometimes....
....But not all people all the time

what mahinda was trying to do till now was exactly that...sell the war & get ppl like Anarkali,muthuhettigama & Duminda silva to Provincial councils
