That's what I said already... "If the attachment changes the style when the recipient opens it, what might be happening is that your word document is set to update the styles from the opening template. You have to uncheck automatic update of styles. "
Every Word document is based on a template. These are the ones that ends with .dot, .dotx or .dotm depending on your Word version.
If you don't select a template for your document, then Word defaults to normal.dot template which every word installation has.
When you create a document it inherits the style from the parent template.
When you attach the document to an email the receiver gets the correct document. However, what goes wrong is when he opens it up in HIS computer. I don't think you are using a special template, and so your document inherits the style from your normal.dot template.
But you need to do one more thing. You got to deselect the tick in "Automatically Update Document Styles" box in the Templates and Add‑Ins dialog.
If you
don't deselect this, when the receiver opens the document Word will use the normal.dot in HIS computer. Word doesn’t care about the styles in the template on which the document was based on YOUR computer. So Word copies the styles from his computer which is different to yours.
I believe this is what bugging you. Find where this tick box for your version of Word and just deselect it.
