Hi baro, dont go behind the NAMEs all are same, same syllabus too ( no one guide you how to be a world class IT professorial) . what ever you do, doesn't make you a genius in IT.

My IT path was like this:

first Did ACS (2000) but it's not available now, ithink.
then BCS diploma only
after that with my experience and above qualifications i was able to complete MSc.
i did many professional courses like MCSE,CCNP,A+,linux+..... now i'm paid verygood salary!!!

so my advice is to u ...

do BCS diploma, and professional courses like me, find a IT job, then do a MSc... you will be a master !!!!

No any sri lanken IT course dont do magics ... (Okkoma Boru katha).

May i say something i know very well!! 99.5% sri lanken engineers who have done electronic/telecommunication Eng degrees in sri lanken universities (like moratuwa ), dont know how to check a transistor with a multimeter. Becouse i'm leading a team which comprise those persons now.!!!

mama danna widihata NIBM degree ekak nemei. that's the Higher Diploma. Then you have to do some British degree.

SLIIT nam ithin BSc (hons) degrees 3yi. General BSc degree 1yi thiyanawane. (Maybe now they have more than that : www.sliit.lk)

SLIIT eka UBC eken approved degree ekak machang denne.

Uni of Colombo karanna puluwan nam , eeka thamai elama. But ithin you have to have good results in A/Ls ne.

SLIIT ekata just 3 passes enough. Even you can do their BSc general degree if you have a pass! (1 subject!)

All IT related... Information Tech, Information Systems or Networking

na macho... BIT walatanam 2 passes athi.. but IT walata 3 passes one... networking walata 3 passes in maths one...

thawa deyak.... NIBM 1e tiyenne IT management degree 1kne.. so SLIIT 1e tiyenne Bsc.(Hons) in IT...

NIBM 1e uba register wenna yaddi eyala charges kiyay.. for an example hitapanko..(me fee attama ganan nemei... asannawa dapu ganan)

for deploma= 110,000/=
for H.Diploma = 110,000/=
Degree= 450,000/=

but uba 1st deploma 1 compleate karala, H.diploma 1ta register wenna giyahama oya fee 1 tawa 20,000 walin witara wadi wenawa....



eyala fee 1 kiyanne e awurudde tiyena rates walin.. but eyalage year eken ekata rates okkoma wenas wenawa...

but SLIIT 1e ehema na....

eka ganath hodata hoyala balapan.....
