If you know someone who runs a rental business then it is easy to get a vehicle which fits your exact requirements. Many well-known car rental places in Colombo are quite costly. This is what I realised last year when I was looking for a vehicle too. :yes:

But if you have the budget then why not.

Most places do not lend vehicles without the driver due to theft of vehicle parts and many other reasons. Most of their packages are with the driver. Mentioning packages, there are a range of vehicles available depending on your budget.

This is my estimation and you may be able to use it as a rough guide:

Small:

Maruti 800AC - 20k for 1 month (not entirely sure)

Standard Range:

Nissan Sunny FB14 - 25k for 1 month
Toyota Soluna - 30-35k for 1 month
Nissan Sunny FB15 - 40k for 1 month
Toyota Corolla AE110 - 40k for 1 month

Standard - Premium Range:

Toyota Corolla 121 - 45-50k for 1 month

Premium Range:

Toyota Allion - 60-65k for 1 month
Toyota Mark II - 55-60k for 1 month

Luxury Range:

BMW 5 Series - 90k + for 1 month
Toyota Landcruiser Prado - 80+ for 1 month
Mitsubishi Montero - 80+ for 1 month
Mitsubishi Pajero Super Exceed - 90k + for 1 month

These prices are not exact but I imagine that this is similar to what most places will have. I may be wrong, but that is what I think. All of the cars are Petrol and all are fitted with A/C. :yes:

The Prado will most probably be Diesel.
The Montero and Super Exceed will most probably be Petrol. (costly)

If you want to know specific models and specifications please feel free to ask. These prices are just what I had in mind. Could be more, could be less depending on where you look.
