Well, most people only have shitty 2.1 speakers at best (some even stereo! ). They won't give much boost with a dedicated audio card. (Same here...I need good speakers, but can't spend too much on them...)

But I would give priority to good speakers over a good sound card.

Go and ask for a 512MB VGA and they will give you a Rs.7000 card, which is only good enough to play games released 3 years ago

Any speaker will grunt in max volume.......it is rated for ~115db......

N anusha i wont eat your head but the review u just posted says more good things than bad about the Z5500..They are not the best home theater or PC speakers you can get but for that prise they certainly do the job well......and about the onboard sound i completely agree with you....unless you listen with a environment or any DSP...there is very less cpu usage.......

But do you really expect any bad things from a USD400 speaker system?!

I wasn't sure so I kept mine at 10% volume! lol...

Because the subwoofer is on the PC table (lower rack) and I didn't want the monitor to fall! LOL (I'm not convinced about my monitor's stability hehe)

can go up to +10db...

Hehe i got to say machan your thinking is so dum if you don't think about the future when you buying a computer product then you are almost lost in few months. Man we have tons of examples which they put the hardware first then the software follows it. Its a very common statement that hardware lead and software catchup. They first make the hardware and then developers get the advantage of that to develop new application using that special features or resources gained through the hardware. We have thousands of examples like that and those hardware companies innovate new technology and present it.
64bit, Dualcore.. There may be no software at that time but sure in the future.
You can see creative doing lot of buzz abuot there X-Ram and you saying its worthless. Why you thinking only about today?

I don't need to defend saying GTX or GT coz it has no huge value even in future. But X-Fi Fatality with X-Ram and the normal X-Fi platinum sure has a future difference. When thay make games wich uses X-RAM you will see. Those days games never came with EAX too. But now? hehe

Okay you don't trust me about X-RAM and Fatality FPS right okay here you go with a review from Guru3d one of the pro gaming review sites. Not like that adsense marketing site you gave us as the review.

So now talk! I don't find paying more for X-Fi Fatality will waste money. And I am not agree with you at all about Fatality X-Fi, z5500, forcing normal ppl who enjoy onboard to buy dedicated sound cards etc...

whats goin on ere eh? in my point a view most sound cards dese days can decode sound to a very high quality, u should be arguin abt amps man ...tell if u hav creative o bose o nythin dat u say is bttr[othr dan a valve amp] that DOES not distort the sound wen u go 4 high levels ICs n transistors hav high Noise To Sound ratios @ high volumes mostly so dont blame it only on da card man dats sick i used 4 transistor [locally knwn as batto] 1 channel 150W amp jst 4 fun n it delivered more power n quality dan normal gik mik amps includin da big names EVN THO it was a transistor based AMP!! jst roam the web n u'll see maxxa circuits for amps if hav the enuf knowledge giv it a shot man OL iwara wela eka haduwe hehe man ekale danna deyak na i jst did da solderin n sum minor load balancin n made a power supply for it
.. jst blame it wher it should be n get a better amp ..n dont argue man y argue lyk babies ..lyk I HAVE DA BEST SOUND CARD n URS suk? y do ppl do dat? ..dey use wat they wanna use...dats y dere r so many companies!!

yup agreed for the amp thing...
and wont agree with your batto amp...
quality wont comes from the power...
so listen to a good quality cd and..
go to a nearest Singer Mega(they always ready to give a demo..) with that CD...
and listen to that cd using a yamaha system...
then post again here..
