This way of auctioning tea in Sri Lanka is unfair by the tea growers, especially the SME industries, they cant get into this arena with a monopoly sometimes in tea supply, and the common case is that the tea made in sri lanka is sold for a low market value. The reason for this is the imperfect market structure, and market failures throughout, while some of it are inevitable.

Worst of all, the Sri Lankans are poured the worst of the produce, now how patriotic is that?
