Ananda had a terrible last year, as far as I know they were demoted to B division. They were quite a famous team in tha division for awhile.
o be honest Anadians never had hots were rugger. It was always Royal, Pathana, Peters, Kingswood n Trinity who lead in the rugger arena
Not to mention Thomians too

Anyway isipathana has a good ruger team

hey sure are, but if u check in to recent history, pathna weren't so hot, they certainly are hots in 7s'

Joes well set for another win

The unbeaten St. Joseph's College team will be looking to register their fourth successive victory this season when they confront Prince of Wales College Moratuwa in their Singer inter school under 20 Division One Group B league rugby encounter at Longden Place today.

The Josephians are enjoying a fantastic season having notched up three impressive victories against Ananda College, Wesley College and Science College Mount Lavinia following a successful campaign in the Western Province and All Island seven a side tournaments.

In contrast Prince of Wales College have experienced mixed fortunes where they lost to Thurstan College 21-23 in their opening fixture but recovered well to beat Lumbini MV by 31 points to nil last week.

i think in b devision der isn't a much competition coz. i remembered last year rajans average score in der 9 matches which played on b div were abt 42+ something. even d second place vidyartha team lost to rajans 38-0 i think. dat means wesly, Thurstan , St. Joseph's and ananda are really struggling coz der not winning in big margins. even if dey get qualified to A div next season der gonna get hammered.

St. Joseph's College cruised to their fourth successive victory this season while overcoming Prince of Wales College Moratuwa by 37 points to 11 points in their Singer inter school under 20 Division One Group B league rugby tournament match worked off at Longden Place yesterday.

The Josephians who were trailing 10-11 at half time staged a superb second half rally and turned the game in their favour while scoring one goal and six tries.

The Cambrians responded with one try and two penalties. Dynamic wing three quarter Sachintha Maduranga was their match winner for Joes with four splendid tries while Dilshan Devananda and M. Dilan scored a try each. However Maduranga was successful with just one conversion.

The annual inter school rugby encounter between the traditional rivals Thurstan College and Isipatana College for the Abdul Jabbar Shield scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. The match will be played on June 26 at Longden Place.
