If you selected to colombo uni give it up.... do it. in the same time you can do SLIIT in weekends. i know it is not easy but that is the best way. never give up the free uni degree.

it may take maximum 1 year.... more than expected period... MAXIMUM..... unless you are a dumb ass to fail you exams....
Thed best thing is the degree is free....

but my advice is that you never should skip doing A/L brother
u really need to do it
it's a good experience not a waste
most of the people ( at institutes ) say that u dont need to do AL n can follow their degree after completing a foundation programme
this is only a business trick putha :)

for foundation level they charge big money and doing nothing... exactly it is a business trick and cant blame to them. cuz it is their business. we should use our brain to choose the best thing. i really dunno what this guy say something like this about UOC... he may still struck in 1980's....

Dude...!!
Free Education is a very valuable thing. I really appreciate it. I did a/l s in maths stream and got BBC. I'm sure i will get selected to Colombo Uni Physical science. But my ambition is to become an engineer and do a job in technical field. Colombo Uni Physical Science degree is well recognized and its free i know that.
But we have to think about this also.
If we are doing a physical science degree we must be ready to get a 1st class or a 2nd upper degree. If we get a general degree we have to teach in an a/l section of a school. That is not what we want to do. So that's a risky thing. But if we do an engineering degree, and though we don't get a class we got a chance to do a good job. That's a main point. And I'm not interested to study math and phy to the deep, by doing a physical degree. I a really interested in technical field. So I decided to go to SLIIT and do Electronic Engineering. I would love to have a SL free education and have the spirit of a UNI life. but if i register in SLIIT i have no opportunity to apply for a local uni. But in the other side we can apply to SLIIT though we are a student of a local uni. But SLIIT starts on feb 2nd and have no time to do such thing. I wish if i can go to katubedda uni and do engineering but unfortunately i lost that chance. :( Now i'm in a good aim to do the engineering degree at SLIIT. So I'm hoping to do it on my best. Need your ideas. Do you think whether my decision is good? reply to this thread. Thanks.
