Anyway, this topic is sort of different from the other onw. But Intel beats AMD clock to clock.

Besides, not many people in SL have highend AMD processors, SL is all Intel .

EIST rocks man! It actually works on my cousin's new PC. Doesn't work on my Asus! Gosh that's so unfair!!! I paid almost 4 times for the Asus :/ Only advantages I'm getting from this mobo is having 4 RAM slots and RAID. Hmmm...

But if that person was me, from these two options,
1. Get 100MHz more by disabling EIST.
2. Get lower OC but better idle state power consumption by enabling EIST.
I would choose number 2.
