The e-Studio 306 has an Ethernet interface and a USB. You can print from one of them or both. For Ethernet you configure it for TCP/IP printing and for USB just direct printing. In a network you have to use TCP/IP printing. If it's just a single computer you can use the USB port.
Correct... The e-Studio series is meant to be used on a network environment. Scanning functionality is not supported with USB connection to a host - but you can scan to any attached USB media device. With that you can't Scan documents that's what I got to know scanning only can be done via Ethernet.
yes you are right... it might not work with a cross cable. But it works with a Patch cable. I have already installed about hundreds of Toshiba e-studio B/W and color photocopier machines via network.Correct... The e-Studio series is meant to be used on a network environment. Also it might not work with a cross cable as suggested here. I haven't tested this but I remember that Toshiba says that's not supported due to the instability of such a connection.
Because it's mentioned in the Toshiba Tech manual. I haven't directly connected any using a cross-over cable myself. If it works that's fine. Good to know. Maybe it's just a warning. How do you say that might not work with a cross cable?I have already installed about hundreds of Toshiba e-studio B/W and color photocopier machines.
