We took a standard one and it went through all the obstacles easily along with other trucks. When it’s on 3 wheels you can see how the wheels engage its breaks to simulate locking and go through. But it’s not good enough as a lot of parts got damaged in the process. Lack of suspension articulation is the major drawback compared to a patrol or a 80

Newer Pajeros and Monteros wala Monocoque based chassis thiyenne bung.. leagues apart from Land Cruiser and Prado ladder frames. Ladder frames and Solid axles do matter in off-roading. that's why Aussies love their 79 series Land Cruisers.

Mitsubishi is not really Mitsubishi anymore, Nissan is not really Nissan either.. in 2016 they got together as a Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance..

Chinese competition is tough in the automotive world.. So Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi builds quite generic products whilst keeping costs/prices down..

Gone are the days of Nissan R34 GTRs (with proper Nissan bulid/design characteriscts and DNA) and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions (with proper Mitsubishi DNA and engineering)..

I was changing engine oil in a friends` Nissan Xtrail the other day.. There are some design/build elements in there that a proper Japanese manufacturer would never use in a common car (thanks to Renault).. For example, the oil drain nut/plug use a special socket, unlike a common 17mm/16mm bolt used in pretty much every Japanese car throughout history..
