That depends on whether you want to drive a "car" or a "toy"
If you are the type that find "driving" is a bother !! .. and can't wait to get out of the car once you get it..... and use the car to get to office and back... or do marketing., Then Aqua is for you.
It's a safe choice since there's a damn good petrol consumption ratio whilst stuck in traffic and brilliant for small distances less that 10-15 km runs on daily basis.
But.......
If you like to "drive" .. to feel the car engine throttle respond to you, to feel the torque or the acceleration.... and do more than 30-40 km's in a single run. then go buy a Honda Fit
The legendary "Honda" driving pleasure is there and still remain true to the fact that 'once driven a Honda would never goto another brand"..so yes.. te driving pleasure is superb. But it's not good for heavy traffic and smaller runs lesser than 30 km's.. otherwise you will not get a good mileage.
-------- Don't be deceived by the wrong notion that all Hybrids has two engines and it's more powerful.
No.. it's wrong., even though the car "does" have two engines (all hybrids), you should note that the actual power is calculated as one unit and it comes to a either 1.5 or 1.8 L accumulated.
But since one half of the Engine is "electric" the acceleration provided by that engine alone is quicker than the conventional petrol engine, HENCE the quick pick up and acceleration. However, that's only good for the first 50 or 10 meters only.
Toyota maintenance is cheap compared to the Honda.
Honda is exclusive and not every tom dick and harry or a garage "bass" is willing to medal with it let alone service them. Unlike Toyota parts, Honda rarely get OEM parts, so you will end up buying originals which are damn expensive.
Both Toyota and Honda has the same residual OR force sale values. But, owning to the Prius 2nd gen faulty system and the very humiliating recalls, Toyota has a chink in it's armor where Honda still goes steady without any major recalls or problems in their systems.
So.. weigh your options and situation carefully and buy what you prefer.. just my two cents on both brands of cars
