    don't lie....

there is a major difference in 11.10 and 12.04 .. 11.10 is kernel version 3.0 and 12.04 is 3.2 with more optimizations in scheduling processors and more faster and stable kernel ever .... normally i prefer KDE rather than GNOME

Looking at how much time it took to get from 2.4 to 2.6 to 3.0, 3.2 seems like a big leap, but it's much more like 3.0.2 to me; looking at how little time it had.

Ubuntu screwed up with the Unity desktop, i think. I'm using ubuntu 11.10 on my laptop, changed to gnome 3 on first day. LOLz.
Used mint on my older laptop, versions 7,8 and 9 DVD. Started using ubuntu on laptop as it was more "manually configurable" and stable than mint. (Mint was having bugs on my laptop, but ubuntu never had).

You should understand that ubuntu and mint are almost same OS, where mint is more windows like and automatic/easy for newbies.

My desktop OS is Fedora 14 64-bit

Mamath maru wuna Fedora 16 walata, kalin hitiye fedora 14 wala. Fedora rocks.

I used ubuntu a long time ago. Then I had to stop using it cos the new mobo i bought was not supported. But unlike those days, now i do not like the look of new ubuntu versions.
