    can I get some help?
Anyone who's there installed FC11 and playing videos without problem?
A problem with new PULSEAUDIO has a bug which crashes X11 when videos are started from any player (for HDA intel drivers)
solving bugs of FC11 for 3 days now.... so it's after about 4 days i'm here. This sound bug is too hot to handle. No bug-free updates yet.
I have bug-workarounds enough for 3-4 blog articles now!
 itz working fine for me... nyway as per my knowledge, in new gnome version itz not allowing to change sound systems... right?

    Mplayer now running on FC11

Got the problem solved. Pulseaudo is still buggy, but only when used parallel with Xvideo (XV) decoder. Running the two seperately doesn't give a problem. Anyway I changed mplayer's video output plugin to opengl, now nothing crash; but heats up the processor. Anyway doing good. :D:D:D:D:D

Just when I was unable to run mplayer I found out that how good Mplayer really is. (Other players SUCKS VLC,totem...all of them) They can't even play WMA9!

who takes WMA9 as an actual media format???
its just MS copying some mp3 decoding ;D
    does it support AAC??
    VLC supports i think

hy do u mean tht it overloads your processor? are you using a creative sound card? anyway the f11 has fixed all da bugs in pulse system and by da way thre are many advantages in puls than alsa basically its da most advance in da exsist .

I know pulseAudio is good, problem is that it's not doing good with intel onboard HD audio chip with AWARD bios on it on 945-965 i chipsets. This problem is unique to this chipset, so you guys shouldn't be getting any problem till you don't have above. Anyway, currently, no music composing programs (lmms, hydrogen, record sound, audacity) gives any damn sound. (again, it's a unique problem and hence very unlikely to be fixed)
I updated PulseAudio, ALSA and all other sound modules... no help

    HP P1005 won't print on FC11

Anyway I was terrified to find that my Hp P1005 laser printer which supported in FC9 (after installing hplip) now is not printing on Fc11. (a bug on cups or hplip) . All the drivers with 100% stats are installed, and there is no apparent problem other than it won't print! (says "your printer might not be connected" ) seems more like a mis-communication to me (a simple thing)
Seems to be some unique bug for P1000 series printers --- still hasn't been fixed.

mplayer has FAAD and FAAC codecs which plays AAC
i actually don't know a format which mplayer can't play. It even played a blu-ray disc format file. :D
