You don't need unique softwares coz apple pre install them before ship it to customer & you can download Mac Office or iWork without a hassle

&

Normal Hardware can work with apple (Of course you need apple driver otherwise you need bootcamp windows)

Ya. . . These companies outsource for cheaper labour. Foxconn manufactures according to their designs. Foxconn only started making their designs recently. Thats why the name is still new to us. But its the biggest company in Thaiwan. Take apart an Apple iPod and you'll see the Foxconn logo in the ribbons.
