If I were you, I will away from both these watches. Just Because both of them has powermatic 80 movements.😌
Yes they have more power reserve, and more accuracy. But
Powermatic movements does not have balance wheel regulating pins. And need special tools to regulate.
So servicing can be only done from the agent.
And Tissot gentleman has powermatic silicium movement. That means it has silicon parts in the movement.
Not sure about long term durability of these parts. Specially in Sri Lankan hot climate.
I'll recommended something with ETA 2824. Or selita sw200 or other. They are time proven workhorses in Swiss watches.
Plus they have a more smoother second hand sweep. While powermatic has a a lower beat rate so second hand has a visible judder. Not a big deal. But if you see it, You can't unsee it.😅

Exactly the response I was looking for. Thank you!

I noticed about the 3Hz movement and potential lack of second hand smoothness with this Tissot. Good to know about the lack of balance wheel regulating pins.

I dont live in SL to be honest, so easier if I can check/buy online from a dealer in SL.

So far I've looked at the following dealer web sites:

** wimaladharmaandsons.lk >> Longines, Rado, Tissot - Not many in this design, seems most are sold out
** adesilva.com >> Mainly Rado and Tissot again. Dont really like Balmain

** chathamluxury.com >> they have all the top brands, but no information about stock availability

Any local website to check for Omega`s online do you know? Or any of the following brands? Tag Heuer, Tudor, BALL, Oris

    Thank you. I`m checking now.

I love the design and simplicity of Ball Engineer III series. Yet to try one on, will be doing that soon.
