Part 1 >>>>>> Orion Nebula - My Night Sky Astrophotography
Wide-field Photo of Orion Belt
taken with 55-300mm AF-S nikkor lens + D5100 DSLR
mounted on EQ3 equatorial single axis auto guided mount.
no telescope used, DSLR+Lens only
Lens : Nikkor AF-S 55-300 @150mm (225mm effective)
ISO : 1600
exposure :30sec X 50 = total 25minuts
mount : EQ3 - single axis auto guided
Main nebulae from left to right : Orion nebula, RunningMan nebula, Horsehead nebula, Flame nebula.
Rosette Nebula ( cluster NGC 2237 associated with nebulosity )
taken with 55-300mm nikkor lens+D5100 DSLR
no telescope used
only 8min exposure 30sec X 16,
DSLR mounted on a auto guided EQ3 mount.
you cannot see anything in this image from naked eye (including starts) have to observe it from a telescope to see 7-10 starts in the middle and only long exposure DSLR/CCD astrophotography can reveal the rest of the starts and the red dust gas clouds of the nebula.
The cluster and nebula lie at a distance of some 5,200 light-years from
