I think its not my3 but UNP ministers After 100days election MY3 is still president of the country. Only thing is we are not sure what executive powers are going to abolished. If Mahinda try to make a come back, My3 may not abolish executive powers. Mahinda can be the Prime minister even he wins where still My3 is his boss

i could be wrong but i think president has the powers to appoint the prime minister, so even if Mahinda gets nominations and win Hambantota by a huge margin, It's in my3's hands.

Machan according my knowledge there is anyone called executive PM since PM is a parliament memeber. He cannot have executive decisions whereas he has to get approval by parliament majority

I think that power is an executive power. So if he is did not abolish those power then may mahinda cannot be PM as you mentioned or even he became he will be an ordinary PM like Dimu

I think Mahinda's come back will cost alot of SLFP. Because if SLFP contested as a single party they still have chance to get more seats than UNP. If mahinda comes back party probably split in to two and UNP may have more seats as a single party. So SLFP my3 supporters join with UNP and formed a government again Ranil will be the PM since they have more seats. If SLFP stood alone made a win without mahinda, there will be a PM from SLFP. No worries for Mahinda since he is a member of SLFP

Handing over the executive powers to the PM makes no difference to the country. PN AND PRESIDENT Should be responsible to the parliament and accountable.
