my ideas on Redmi 2 after 3 days of use .... ;)

Bought it from pandawill.com for 18 000 LKR. I ordered it on 12th may, it took them nearly 10 days to ship it :baffled:
It was shipped on 23rd may but It arrived on 30th and took only 7 days for shipping

This phone is kind of worth the price. The Cam is superb for a phone in this price range

MIUI seems nice and very much better than stock android. This is the 1st time I've used a Xiaomi phone and I have a kind of a +ve impression

The battery life seems good and I could pull off a complete day with dual sim standby, mobile data, gaming, video playback, music, etc
I think with a single sim the battery life could be improved even more.
:nerd:

The only drawback I observed is that the multitasking in this phone is very bad  ... but typical for a 1 GB phone these days ..

I have only a few apps installed, but it uses like almost 750 - 800 RAM of 1 GB :dull:

On the first boot I had like 400 RAM free but after installing few apps then it got reduced to like 250 - 300 free RAM after closing all ongoing processes :oo:

Like you cant use chrome to open two heavy web pages at once

But you can manage any single app use quite well

I knew this could be a problem and looked for the 2GB ram version but there was only GSM version available.
(I could have bought Redmi Note 4G, but I don't like that much bigger phones ... OMG how would you carry them in ur pocket and it was too fukin heavy 200g   )

But overall this phone seems nice and I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a good phone in this price range ... definitely better than samsung $H!ts in this price range

GL HF ... :)

MIUI vs Android M: App Permission Control

MIUI vs Android M: App Permission Control :cool:

    180915a00iiiwn868du80n.jpg.thumb.jpg

Android M was debuted at Google I/O, showcasing a few new features that will come shipped with the next iteration of stock Android, one of which is the introduction of the new app permission control.:eek::eek:
Some might say this is a truely new feature to Android, ;);) but MIUI users would disagree,:cool: because this is something MIUI users were familiar with since MIUI 5.:cool::cool:

    ;) The Comparison ;)

App Permission Control in Android M comes with control over 8 permissions :):)

    180912lsxbbal9lim6ll7n.jpg.thumb.jpg

MIUI 6offers much more control over app permissions :cool::cool:

    181137jlzj069jyqq9m14w.gif

Apps will request for permission while using them in Android M :)

    180909o7qh7r4hahb3rhtq.gif

This is nothing new for MIUI:cool::cool::cool:

    182040xic3rrvrzqqz9zw4.png.thumb.jpg

It can even control autostart of applications in MIUI:cool::cool:

MIUI has already offered so much more features that Android has just started to provide.:cool:
