WAAHANA HINDA KAAPU KATU
I was on my way to Nuwara Eliya in the hired ISUZU 350 lorry, with my(late) father. We are taking a lorry full of building materials to renovate our little holiday cottage.
First we had a tyre puncture in one of rear tyres. The driver had no idea about that. Only I've notice the left rear (double wheel) bulging, and ask him to stop to inspect, and found the inside tyre had a puncture. It took at least an hour to get it fixed from a tyre shop somewhere near Yatiyanthota.
So, we back on road again, both myself and my father are tired (we both not had any sleep the night before) and fall a sleep for a moment. I woke up with some noise, and noticed that, we are travelling on a very narrow road, the rubber tree branches in either side of the road, touching the lorry. I told the driver, this is not the main road, you may have had a wrong turn somewhere. If I have travelled to nuwara eliya 100 times, my father must have done it 1000 times, so we both know this idiot must have took a wrong turn. So we are looking for a place to turn around, but we had to drive some 15-20 minutes in this narrow winding road to find a junction big enough to turn this thing around.
When we come back to main road we noticed that the main road having a hairpin bend, a small road branches off straight. So this idiot drove straight.
We are back on road for the third time.
I am having my elbow sitting on the open window, and felt really hot air coming behind the cab. I just peek in to the dashboard and found the heater gauge in maximum position.

I told him to stop and fill the radiator, but do not stop the engine. So when he did that I ask him "THEL THIYANWADA" ?? his reply was (OW) yes, so we start again. Within 10 minutes temp gauge hit the roof again. Then we stop again, and fill the radiator, while driver doing that, I pull the dipstick out (while engine still running) and found there is no sign of OIL

. I wants to check it properly, so we let the engine cool down and stop the engine and check the oil after few minutes. Still the same, dipstick is as dry as a bone.

I ask the driver " thamuse thel thiyanawaa kiwwa neda ?? Then he said "sir, mama kiwwe kan eke thel thiyanawaa kiyalayi

", So I pour that oil and solve the heating problem.
When we get in to nuwara eliya it's dark, and cold. the driver and the cleaner both starts to shiver, and poor ME had to unload the whole truck, and let them come back. They both refused to stay overnight in that cold climate and said they cant handle the cold climate. While I am unloading the truck the driver and cleaner both stay in the cab with the engine, and the heater running.
